Case Study on the Introduction of Wearable Air Conditioners | IHI [Construction Industry]

It is also possible to use it in combination with work clothes with fans! Here are examples of contributions to plant site management operations.

We would like to introduce a case where IHI Plant Co., Ltd. implemented the integrated model "WearCon" as a heat countermeasure to enhance operational efficiency. With a lot of work being done outdoors and semi-outdoors, and in extremely hot environments where the WBGT value exceeds 30 degrees in summer, we confirmed that there is minimal interference when used in conjunction with equipment such as helmets, leading us to proceed with the implementation. We have experienced stable cooling effects even in harsh environments exceeding 35°C with the separate model "Comodo Gear," and the "WearCon" is even more compact. Additionally, we have a 3D viewer available, so please feel free to contact us if you need assistance. 【Case Overview】 ■Industry: Construction (Plant Industry) ■Product Implemented: Integrated model "WearCon" ■Challenge: On-site management tasks in extremely hot environments where the WBGT value exceeds 30 degrees ■Deciding Factor for Implementation: Confirmation of minimal interference with equipment during demonstrations *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Case Study of Wearable Air Conditioners | Yuki Engineering [Manufacturing Industry]

Cooling effects beyond imagination! Case studies of use in welding work environments where air conditioning equipment cannot be installed.

We would like to introduce a case where Komodo Gear was implemented at Yuki Engineering Co., Ltd. with high expectations for cooling performance. When performing welding work on construction machinery, such as attachments for hydraulic excavators, ventilation must also be considered, and air conditioning equipment could not be introduced for heat countermeasures. We received feedback that even with a radiator and battery attached to the waist, it did not interfere with work, and they were surprised at how effectively the neck was cooled, expressing a desire to keep it on throughout the work. 【Case Overview】 ■Industry: Manufacturing (Welding Construction) ■Product Introduced: Komodo Gear ■Challenge: Inability to introduce air conditioning equipment due to ventilation considerations ■Effect: The neck was cooled more effectively than expected, and it could be worn continuously during work *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Design Case: Wearable Air Conditioner (EMS) Mechanical Design

The design department of the major corporation is engaged in product development design, structural design, and design contracting, as well as various design proposals through strength and fluid analysis, and VE (value engineering) proposals.

Our company offers solutions to the problems faced by our customers by utilizing our expertise in structural design, circuit board design, fluid analysis, and strength analysis, along with our network of external circuit board design manufacturers. In this case, we undertook the structural design and production of resin components for a "wearable air conditioner" consisting of a cooling unit that incorporates a Peltier element and is worn on the neck, an operation unit that houses a battery and controls the device, and a tube connecting the two. In addition to the "wearable air conditioner," we have a track record of various product designs, structural designs, and design contracting. For more design achievements and details, please download our materials or feel free to contact us.

JUST COOL 2020 New Release

A new dimension of coolness wrapped in mist by the wind.

"JUST COOL" is a wearable cooling device that combines mist and a fan to lower the surface temperature of the human body. The device uses a fan to draw in air, which is then humidified with mist and directed between the back and clothing, cooling the body through the evaporation heat of the mist instead of sweat. As a wearable cooling device, its range of use and cooling effect are more efficient and effective than a regular fan. It is also portable and ideal for outdoor activities in the summer. 【Features】 ■ Control the strength of the fan and mist using a dedicated app for smartphones and tablets equipped with Bluetooth 5.0. ■ In an environment with a temperature of 39°C and humidity of 50%, the temperature inside the clothing was cooled by approximately 9°C. ■ Can also be used on a desk. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case Study of Wearable Air Conditioners | JFE Steel [Manufacturing Industry]

Stable cooling effect even in harsh environments above 35℃! Case studies of use in the steel industry manufacturing sites.

We would like to introduce a case where JFE Steel Corporation implemented the separated model "Comodo Gear" and the integrated model "WearCon." In the medium-diameter seamless pipe factory, materials are processed at temperatures exceeding 1,000°C, and the on-site temperature can exceed 40°C. Heat countermeasures were a top priority. Cooling the neck directly is more effective than blowing air, and it has become an indispensable presence, especially in terms of comfort. We also have a 3D viewer available, so please feel free to contact us when needed. [Case Overview] ■ Industry: Manufacturing (Steel Industry) ■ Products Implemented: Comodo Gear, WearCon ■ Challenge: Working environment with on-site temperatures exceeding 40°C ■ Effect: Direct neck cooling is felt to be very effective ■ Deciding Factor: Trust in products developed by an air conditioning manufacturer *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
